Summer Updates

Posted in Announcements

Dear MAEPH Community,

I hope you are well and safe in this time of uncertainty. I wanted to share some news from the MA Program in Engaged & Public Humanities.

The faculty and staff of the MA Program in Engaged & Public Humanities have started to write a series of blog posts during the COVID-19 pandemic called Dispatches, which you can now find under “Start Exploring the Publicly Engaged Humanities“. Our recent Dispatches features a post from our director, Dr. Kathryn Temple titled: “Step Up, Lean in Humanities: We Need You Now More than Ever.”

Additionally, over the summer we will be conducting a series called “Humanities Lunch Break.” Our first event on June 10 at noon will include five humanities professionals who will discuss humanities work in the world during the pandemic. You can learn more about the series and other events under News and Events.

Finally, a reminder that we are postponing the start of the MA Program in Engaged & Public Humanities to Fall 2021. If you have already been accepted and requested a deferral, you should have received a letter confirming your Fall 2021 admission. If you are an accepted student who has not requested a deferral but would like to, please let us know as soon as possible. If you are interested in the program or would like to apply, visit the Prospective Students page for more information. And If you would like to contact us for further information on the program, please feel free to email myself, publichumanities@georgetown.edu and/or Dr. Temple, templek@georgetown.edu.

Kindly,

Christine
Program Coordinator, ENPH
