Green Commons Awards

The Earth Commons and the Office of Sustainability are announcing the 2022 Green Commons Awards to support actionable proposals that spark campus dialogue or spur change(s) on campus on environmental and sustainability issues. These proposals can vary vastly in their creative design; from performances, visiting researchers, speakers, waste reduction or reuse projects, and more. All current Georgetown faculty, staff, and students are eligible to apply. Proposals will be evaluated in multiple rounds: early fall, late fall, early spring, mid-spring, and mid-summer. Early fall applications are due October 14.

Cosmos Scholars Grant Program

The Cosmos Scholars Grant Program provides grants to meet specific research needs not covered by other supporting funds, including, but not limited to, special supplies, travel, and unanticipated expenses that would enhance the work. Specifically excluded are general financial support, tuition, and living expenses (except in connection with supported travel). Deadline: November 1, 2022.

Georgetown Americas Institute Student and Faculty Research Grants Applications

GAI supports faculty’s and students’ interdisciplinary research on Western Hemisphere affairs around four critical challenges: governance and the rule of law; economic growth and innovation; social and cultural inclusion; and sustainability and the environment. Spring deadline: February 16, 2023.
