Sample Plans of Study
There are a variety of methods by which students can fulfill the interdisciplinary and experiential requirements for the Masters in Engaged and Public Humanities.
Below are sample plans of study that part-time and full-time students in the ENPH program typically follow. Please note that while these are general plans of study, students are able to fulfill the ENPH internship requirement throughout the year as well. The ENPH program is committed to working with our students to determine the plan of study that works best for their specific needs.
Plan 1: Full Time with Internship
ENPH students following this plan of study will be full-time and complete their experiential learning requirement through pursuing an internship, which fulfills ENPH 7951 and ENPH 7952. While this plan of study places the internship during the summer term, please note that students are able to fulfill that requirement during the fall and spring semester as well. Students in this track will be able to complete the ENPH program in one year.
Plan 2: Full Time with Public Humanities Report
ENPH students following this plan of study will be full-time and fulfill their experiential learning requirement through completing a public humanities report on their humanities-related employment, which will count for 6 credits. While this plan of study places the public humanities report during the summer term, please note that students are able to fulfill that requirement during the fall and spring semester as well. Students in this track will be able to complete the ENPH program in one year.
Plan 3: Part Time with Internship
ENPH students following this plan of study will be part-time and complete their experiential learning requirement through pursuing an internship, which fulfills both ENPH 7951 and ENPH 7952. While this plan of study places the internship during the two summer terms, please note that students are able to fulfill that requirement during the fall and spring semester as well. Students in this track will usually complete the ENPH program in two years.
Plan 4: Part Time with Public Humanities Report
ENPH students following this plan of study will be part-time and fulfill their experiential learning requirement through completing a public humanities report on their humanities-related employment, which will count for 6 credits. While this plan of study splits the public humanities report during the second summer term, please note that this is flexible. Students in this track will usually complete the ENPH program in two years.
